This chapter provides information on how to verify the PPT after successful installation.

Server Verification
In order to ensure that the PPT server functions properly after installation, it is recommended to verify server side components have been installed properly.
Follow the below given instructions for PPT server verification:
Verify that the PPT version of the installed application at the server is the same as seen while installing the application. This can be determined by executing the pptctl version command script from the PPT installation path. For the output of this command, refer the PPT Components Control Script section of the Administrative Scripts chapter of this guide.
 
Client Verification
In order to ensure that the PPT client connects and functions properly after installation, it is recommended to verify the client compatibility with the PPT server.
Follow the below given instructions for PPT client verification:
Verify the version of the PPT application by clicking the About link from the top navigation bar. It should match with the one that appeared while PPT installation. Enter the following URL in the address bar of the browser in client machine to explore installed PPT:
https://<ip_address>:<port_number>/
where ip_address is the IP address of the machine where PPT server is installed and port_number is the port number to which apache is listening for the client requests.
